Dr. Erin Taylor Kulick

DVM

Dr. Kulick grew up in a small town in the mountains of Virginia where she was surrounded by animals: Pets, farm animals, and wildlife. She began volunteering at a mixed animal practice at 12 and soon realized that veterinary medicine was her calling.

“I’m fortunate to have a career where I enjoy going to work every day,” says Dr. Kulick. “I can use the skills I’ve acquired over the years to improve the health of animals, thus strengthening the human-animal bond, which in turn improves the lives of people in my community.”

Dr. Kulick attended Roanoke College where she majored in biology. She then attended Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Medical Association of New York City. Her professional interests include internal medicine, geriatric medicine, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology and general veterinary medicine. Dr. Kulick is USDA certified to complete international travel health certificates.

During the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Dr. Kulick had the opportunity to volunteer with the New York City Veterinary Emergency Response Team (NYC VET). This organization worked with assorted groups and organizations to provide mobile vet care, pet food, and emergency boarding to Hurricane Sandy victims. Dr. Kulick was also involved with intake and care of pets at the emergency boarding facility in Brooklyn after Hurricane Sandy.

Special interests: Dr. Kulick lives with her husband, Scott, a jazz musician, and their son. In her free time, she enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and basketball, and performs in the Queer Urban Orchestra, a community orchestra in New York City.
