Dr. Sayaka Hosomi received her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 after completing her clinical training at the University of Missouri. Following graduation, she completed additional clinical training at the Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, Colorado, rotating through various specialties including emergency medicine, internal medicine, surgery and oncology. It was during this time she met the love of her life, Leonard, a maltipoo she helped rescue after being struck by a car. Upon completion of her training, Dr. Hosomi moved back to Westchester, NY, to serve as a General Practitioner at a local animal hospital. After these rewarding experiences, Dr. Hosomi decided to move to the city and is now proud to be part of the NYC Vet Group. When Dr. Hosomi is not in the office, she enjoys long hikes with Leonard, traveling, baking, and of course, eating.
